2020 is going to be a big year for reunions and album releases. Which guitarists are set to have a breakout year in 2020?
Rusty Cooley
The Day Of Reckoning shredder has been relatively quiet in the last couple of years. With a new endorsement from Ormsby Guitars, Rusty has a new album coming out in 2020 from Day Of Reckoning. He is currently working on a solo album for an anticipated 2020 release. We hope RC reclaims some of the fire he had from years back.
Laura Cox
This hard-charging France native just released her latest album and has been growing in popularity by the week. We here at ATS believe 2020 will be the year that Laura will tour the US, pending no nightmarish issues with a Visa.
Courtney Cox
CCShred has a grueling schedule with the Iron Maidens. Working on her solo album in between tours, look for Courtney’s solo album to hopefully released in 2020. With former Iron Maidens and current Alice Cooper guitarist Nita Strauss getting overexposure and Googoo and gaga’d for average play, look for Cox’s release to make a huge statement in 2020.Chris Broderick

The former Megadeth and current Act of Defiance and Inflames guitarist has been on tour with the Flames most of the year. Broderick should have a solo album be released in 2020, depending on if InFlames requests his services. Act of Defiance is also past due for a new album. Either way, Broderick will have a big year
Stephanie Bradley
Stephanie Bradley has been gaining popularity for her short YouTube videos of her blistering fretboard work over the years. With her frequent appearances with Steve Vai and his clinics, look for Bradley to put out an EP or full-length album in 2020.
Jasmine Cain
The 2019 Musician of the Year has been gaining notoriety outside of the motorcycle crowds and into mainstream music over the last several years. With her loyal cainiacs, look for Cain to sign with a major label in 2020 with her popularity soaring.
Akira Takasaki
The Loudness shredder has been going at it for over 40 years and still going strong. Loudness is massive in Japan, and they enjoy a loyal following in the United States. With a new record expected in 2020, Akira is going to make it big in 2020, especially for his US fans, as we hope Loudness to tour here next year.
Jimi Bell
Jimi Bell is a legend in the northeast. The runner-up to Zakk Wylde to replace Jake E. Lee in Ozzy Osbourne’s band, Jimi has been keeping busy with House of Lords and his tribute bands that play in New England. Jimi has replaced Steve Lynch in Autograph, expect Bell to have a breakout year now that he’s with a group that tours continuously and should be making a new record.
Doug Aldrich
Doug has a few projects coming out. The Daisies and Revolution Saints. Doug will have a super year.
