Ultimate Jam Night is every Tuesday evening at the World Famous Whisky a Go Go. From 8:00 to 12:30 Rock-n-Roll’s most exceptional musician’s jam, in the heart of Hollywood. Featuring the house band Chuck Wright (Quiet Riot), Matt Starr (Mr. Big), Mitch Perry (Lita Ford) and Paulie Z (The Sweet). They bring you the best live jam in Hollywood and the finest, most seasoned musicians, from your favorite bands, performing a variety of genres of Rock, Hard Rock and Heavy Metal!

On Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Anaheim Hilton, Ballroom C; Sponsors RCF, Dean, Ddrum, Ampeg, Gear Secure Music, Wedgie, Cleartone, Reunion Blues, and CAD; welcomed fans to the Ultimate Jam “NAMM” Night, where they were treated to performances featuring a number of special guests.

The tradition of utmost professionalism was on display this evening. The UJN team of behind the scenes staff that Make these UJN experiences come to fruition were at the top of their game this evening. To pull off such a seamless, without a hitch fluid transition, multi-instrumentalists, from one song to the next; is a true testament to the UJN Production Management. They are the “unsung” superstars of this evening. Without them, well, we have all seen what happens to “Jams” when the Production team is shoddy. As with Every UJN event, their Production Team adheres to the highest standards of Professionalism. They are the people that make it simple, smooth and easy for every musician to go up on stage, plug in, and play their asses off. I just wanted to make that clear to Everyone out there. To all of you, who were there, when you can, give thanks to those production team members, because without them, there is No UJN.

The evening was intense; the energy in the room was like a huge rock n roll party. If any of you have been to the UJN at the Whisky, multiply that by 1000. As I was walking into the hallway to the Ballroom C doors, I felt the fantastic energy pouring out from the doors of the actual ballroom. It brought a buzz to my being. I walked in, and it was going off. It’s been a long time since I have been to a Rock n Roll party like this one.

As far as the performances, as always, they were stellar. All of these musicians were going off, playing their asses off. The crowd loved all of it. A few last minute surprises made the evening even more intense for some of us; I was among those. George Lynch playing with Don Dokken, and Cory Glover playing with Dug Pinnick was the two that I was beyond stoked. It was everything it sounds like. I included the links to video of some of these performances. As a fan of rock n roll, Richie Kotzen Always gets me excited to see him play. I added YouTube link to one of his performances.

I can’t say there was a lull in any of the evening’s music, songs, and performances. To each their own, but I was high on the fantastic music blasting out at us all. We all have our favorites, but as an overview, the show was terrific and didn’t lose its luster at any given moment.

I want to give special thanks to the following; not to embarrass, but to pay proper respect to them:
Adam Mandel, Rob Meives, and Lisa Morton Woodard

I do hope that the UJN production team does this again next year at NAMM, and, I encourage them to do something like this semi-annually if possible. It is quite an experience to all of us who are faithful to the bone love Rock n Roll fans.
