The M3 Rock Festival Are Duping Its Fans With Shady Advertising

The M3 Rock Festival is an annual concert that features mostly groups from the ’80s that perform at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland.  M3 usually books the same bands yearly without much change.  This is an utter snorefest seeing the same bands annually.

M3 went a step further this year and advertised that L.A. Guns were going to be performing.  Come to find out; this wasn’t the LA Guns that Phil Lewis and Tracii Guns front.  It’s some second rate band that Steve Riley put together.  This is a shitty way for M3 to dupe L.A. Guns fans thinking they’re going to see Tracii and company instead they’re going to see a cover band.

The M3 Rock Festival is still popular among it’s faithful. For what it costs for travel, hotel, and tickets to this event, you’d think that the M3 promoters would book different bands yearly instead of Kix, Firehouse, Vince Neil or others.  If things are where they have to bullshit people into thinking one version of a group is playing to sell tickets, perhaps the fans should give them a wakeup call and hit them where it hurts and not buy tickets.

There’s PLENTY of bands out there that fit the genre M3 promotes and they plain ignore.  If they need a list of these bands, I’d be more than happy to provide them one.

  1. Everyone knows that L.A. Guns that performed at M3 this past weekend was not the version with Phil and Tracii. It has been all over the internet for the past couple of months. SO many people knew this going in.
