You’d think Gibson would have their usual third floor stand at NAMM 2018. Instead, Gibson is forgoing NAMM 2018 and instead concentrating on the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, which takes place on January 9-12, 2018.
With the company in financial straights, they sold the Memphis factory, which came amid profit warnings.
Gibson showcased a new solid body design at CES. The guitar was later released as the Modern Double Cut and made its debut at Summer NAMM in July 2017.
With the decisions Gibson’s making, one has to wonder if these decisions will turn around the ailing manufacturer or further deepen its financial woes considering the quality control issues it faces.
